An introduction course to 3D design, with an online competition to create your very own model mosque at home with great prizes on offer! Step-by-step Zoom tutorial lessons available every Saturday in Ramadan with a professional tutor, to help you create your winning entry.
Date / Time:
Live Tutorial Lessons: Saturday 2nd, 9th and 16th May at 1300 hrs (45min lesson). Open to all ages.
Competition: Final designed entries to be submitted by Eid-ul-Fitr 25th May (2300 hrs).
What you’ll learn:
- Foundation to design like a pro using CAD
- What 3D printing is and how you can create things in it
- The basics of Mosque architectual design
What you’ll need:
- A Laptop or iPad (ideally two devices during tutorials), with the Zoom app installed
- Set up a free personal account to use the Tinkercad design software.
- 45mins each Saturday to attend the weekly Zoom tutorial lessons; then few hours a week to design your Model Mosque!

Competition Rules:
Awards only available to those aged 15 - 19* (though anybody can enter)!
To enjoy the course we recommend you are at least 15 years old. Teenagers and adults with basic maths, geometry knowledge will especially enjoy this course, and it is great preparation for students looking to enter first design, engineering or creative degrees.
